Chairman’s Message
Welcome to the web site of the North American MGA Register.
We are a club represented by some two thousand members in the United States, Canada, and around the world. We currently have a Board of Directors and Staff comprising of eighteen volunteers. Our goal is to promote the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of the MGA, Magnette, and Various models utilizing the MGA powerplant.
We maintain an extensive database of these cars. We are always interested in learning of “unknown” cars, so if you have one, even if you are not a member of NAMGAR, please contact our Registrar to let us know that your car exists!
If you are looking to buy or sell a car or parts, NAMGAR can be an excellent resource. We have an active “Marketplace” that reaches enthusiasts worldwide.
And, if this is your first time in finding us, I invite you to consider a Membership in the North American MGA Register. You will gain access to a member’s area of this website, a bi-monthly award winning magazine, technical advice, and invitations to some of the most fun MG events in North America!
We also work closely with a network of local Chapters, and encourage you to seek out an MG or British Car Club in your area. You will find this to be a very rewarding experience, and a stepping-stone to attending our National “Get-Togethers.”
Since 1975, NAMGAR has hosted annual Get-Togethers, or as we call them, “GTs” all over the USA and Canada. Many of our Club members drive thousands of miles to attend. Sometimes we even form caravans or rallyes to travel together, making each event very special. Please check our calendar to see where we’re headed next.

There is a magic about the MGA and Magnette that started when first introduced to the public back in 1955. And so, in 1975 Mac Spears and a handful of enthusiasts captured this magic and formed the North American MGA Register. Since then, the membership has become friends, and we have become a family. And when you join NAMGAR, you will quickly find that, “While it’s the cars that bring us together, it’s the people who bring us back.”
