Bruce Mann

NAMGAR Marketing/Advertising Manager

Hello to everyone. I am Bruce Mann, Advertising and Marketing Manager for NAMGAR, recently appointed by the board. My position commencing after GT 42.

My wife Wilma Lee (Willie) and I live in White Lake, MI, transplanted from West Virginia and Ohio respectively. We are both active members of our local NAMGAR chapter the Michigan Rowdies. While only members for the past six years, we are very active in the clubs activities. I am currently serving as Regalia Chair for the club. We have hosted a number of events at our house, and try to make as many scheduled events that our club offers. We have also attended five consecutive GT's starting with Dayton and ending with L'Ville last year, however, we will miss California GT42 this year.

We have been married for ten years and I have three children and five grandchildren, and Willie has two children. My kids are both in Michigan, and Willie's son lives in Michigan and her daughter in West Virginia.

I was born in Bellevue, Ohio and graduated from college in 1966. I have been retired for 10 years, from Magna International, a seat supplier to the automotive industry. Willie grew up in eastern West Virginia and moved away to start a career a few years ago. Willie still works in the automotive world and is an Account Manager for Shawmut Cooperation, an interior supplier to the same industry. She is planning retirement, soon so she says!

I bought my current 1960 MGA 1600 roadster in July of 1961, when I was seventeen years old and just out of high school. Some of my friends had A's and we loved them. So with a leap of faith and a job at Whirlpool I was able to convince my father to let me buy this car and I have had it ever since. We restored it in 2009 through 2012. We then bought a '52TD and have since restored that as well. We joined the Rowdies some six years ago and it has been now a big part of what we do. We have meet many people through the organization and have become friends over the years.

We both enjoy playing golf, traveling and working on the MG's.

I am looking forward to helping NAMGAR in any way that I can.

See you down the road!
