Hi all - We hope this newsletter finds you and your MG in good shape. Judging from your newsletters there are still a lot of outside events that will be happening this fall. Here's the latest from our perspective that needs to be disseminated to your NAMGAR Chapter or NAMGAR Interest Group.
2012 - NAMGAR Events
Please post these events on your chapters' event schedules for 2012 and also get the word out to your interest group's members.
Key West Regional - April 23 - 27
This regional is always a hoot and is a great way to see Key West, FL. Click here for more details.
"Drive Your MGA Day" - Saturday, May 5
This is the one day that's dedicated to you and your MGA. Enjoy the spring day and enjoy your MGA.
GT 37 - July 9 - 13
This year the GT is being held in Dayton, OH and is being hosted by NAMGAR's local chapter, the Southeastern Ohio Centre MG Club. Click here for details.
Rallye to Reno Grille Badge
Orders for this sharp looking badge have to be in by October 31st. Click here to place your order. The badge is $42.50 + $7.50 shipping. If you want one, please hurry, you have until October 31. At that point the order will be sent out for production.
Renkenberger Spirit Award
This award is presented by the NAMGAR Board of Directors to a member of a chapter or interest group. The member does not have to be a member of NAMGAR. Each NAMGAR Chapter or NAMGAR Interest Group is eligible to nominate one of their members every three years. As most chapters have their annual planning meetings coming up this would be an appropriate time to suggest that your chapter's Board consider nominating a member for this award. Also our interest groups can think about nominating one of their members. All chapters and interest groups have individuals that have spent mucho time and energy making the organization what it is and this award is a very appropriate way of recognizing them. Chapter / Interest Group Yearly Status Report
It's that time of year again. Please Email us back with: Name of your chapter / interest group, number of members, number of members owning an MGA, Magnette or variant, type of chapter (MGA, All MG or British). If you do not have access to specific numbers just tell us. This info is compiled into our yearly report to the NAMGAR Board for use at their annual Board meeting in early 2012. Try to get this info back to us by mid December. Thanks.
NAMGAR Regional's
While you're attending your chapter's 2012 planning meeting why not suggest hosting a NAMGAR Regional in 2012. The Key West chapter is already on board for 2012, why not your chapter? There is no format for a regional, it can be just about what ever the host club wants it to be (get away weekend, car show, etc.). Contact the NAMGAR Vice Chair, Carol Shamonsky, for details.
NAMGAR Trivia
Next time you've got a free moment, google "namgar". Besides our NAMGAR organization, there is also a singer named Namgar Lhasaranova who sings traditional Buryat and Mongolian music. Hmmm, wonder if she would perform at GT37?
