NAMGAR ALERT!

NAMGAR ALERT!

NAMGAR ALERT!There appears to be some confusion regarding the Membership and Car Registration Form that was recently mailed to members. Several people have contacted the Registrar concerned about their NAMGAR status.

In an effort to increase the ranks of our organization, the form was sent to current members to pass along to MGA owners who are unfamiliar with NAMGAR. It was supposed to be included in the May/June issue of MGA!, but the mailing house forgot to insert it. There is a brief explanation about the form at the bottom of page seven in the magazine. The text even contains a “typo” to draw your attention to it.

In spite of NAMGAR’s best intentions, this effort has not worked as well as anticipated. Next year the plan is to send roving bands of torch carrying NAMGAR volunteers throughout the streets of North America to accost unsuspecting MGA (and Variant) owners in a slightly more aggressive recruiting campaign. This approach will provide direct contact with potential new members, eliminate mailing costs and avoid confusion regarding the Application itself. Besides, what could possibly go wrong?

…. And if they don’t become NAMGAR members we take there cars!!! I think it would be only fair. On a more serious note….. Does anyone know anything about the history of my ZB?The NAMGAR register number is V59. I purchased the car about 10 years ago from the estate of Dick Macadoo. Dick and Betty’s son knew nothing about the history of the car except it was a project that was not started before the couple died. They also had a MGA that was regularly used if that helps jog a memory. Arch
