The All British Car Club of Volusia County, Florida (a.k.a. ABCC) was formed in late 1993, by several dedicated individuals throughout our county who were interested in preserving, maintaining, and enjoying their British cars. With the demise of several British car marques in prior years, it seemed logical and practical for them to band together with the common goal of keeping as many British cars in our area “on the road” and away from the auto junk yards. The ABCC continues to be active today, with 20 memberships (= 35 people) already paid by the first half of January, 2010. As its name implies, this club is for all British car marques, although the majority of members own Jaguars, Triumphs, and MGs. In addition, some members also own Triumph motorcycles. Membership is also open to those individuals who may not currently own a British car, but still appreciate their wonderful heritage and beauty.

Currently, the ABCC meets monthly for an event or activity, which is scheduled in differing locations throughout the county and adjacent areas. In past years, we have sponsored 4 car shows, with much success. In addition, members enjoy an additional monthly meeting for good food and conversation at local eateries. Another opportunity awaits members who enjoy driving as a group to explore back roads and scenery. The ABCC publishes a monthly newsletter to keep members informed of club happenings, plus keep in touch with each other on a regular basis through email and phone calls. Members are generous to a fault, and are always ready to share advice, spare parts, or just lend a hand. In an odd quirk to our northern cousins, many members choose not to participate during the hotter months of June, July, and August, but prefer the more temperate months from October to May for enjoying their cars.
